about.

My work, as an artist and designer, derives heavily from the act of drawing.

The work originates from personally experienced moments, understood through a research led

practice. The intention of this research process is to connect intimate human relationship

with more universal systems of understanding our environment.

My work is defined by an enthusiastic curiosity, frequently returning to subject matter.

My practice heavily relies on emerging patterns, relationships and discourses,

applying different approaches to the same subject.

What I present to the viewer is my process of learning structures and systems, in the hope

that the viewer draws from and participates in further understanding of the works

implications. The work often asks for the human response of the viewer, for this I am

interested in putting the pencil in the audiences hand, in order to start a dialogue. I

believe the audience are the only mediators of my work, without which the work is nothing

but a series of self contained disparate observations.

What I hope is that in the process of trying to gain an understanding of something than

can only be expressed in action, the audience sees an honesty and integrity in my work,

not just a pretty pattern.
